Who is Cameka Lasha

A therapist once told me that I went from the frying pan to the fire as a metaphor for my childhood with my parents and my marriage to my kids’ dad. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say, “I don’t understand why they stayed,” or “You attract what you are.” Both of these are forms of victim blaming, both of which I have experienced, stemming once again from the frying pan situation.

Hey Lady, I’m Cameka LaSha. By trade, I am a behavior management counselor with a concentration in child and adolescent behavior. However, personally, I am that child and adolescent who needed behavior management counseling. My journey has shaped me into a knowledgeable expert in the field of healing from trauma, specifically focused on at-risk girls and women. Drawing from my own journey as a survivor of abuse, domestic violence, being a single mother, and experiencing cultural betrayal, I am committed to empowering girls and women on their paths to healing and self-discovery.

My personal transformation, coupled with my education and professional background, has equipped me with a unique understanding of the complexities of trauma and its impact on ALL girls #ComingFromWhereImFrom. I possess a relentless pursuit for knowledge with a commitment to personal growth.

During my own personal journey towards healing, I noticed a pattern in the skills I was utilizing to help guide me on my healing journey. Experiencing firsthand the personal growth and development, I used these skills to develop a practical methodology to help others along their healing journey. “5 Principles of a Gem” is a mindset theory, derived from my own experiences and learnings. These five principles serve as a powerful foundation to combat trauma and dysfunctional behavioral systems.

In my first book, “FASTell Girl Presents: Principles of a GEM,” I candidly detail my pursuit of triumph over adversity. I wrote this book to serve as a guide for other young girls and ladies seeking healing and transformation. My hope is that they are empowered as I highlight the transformative power of the 5 prime principles of a GEM.

A FASTell Girl

In 2018, I started to develop the FASTell Girl Model2Mentor Program, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization. I founded this organization as a means to use my expertise and guidance to provide a safe and nurturing environment for at-risk girls and young adult women through their healing journey. The evidence-based approaches, combined with my extensive knowledge and personal insights, allow me to connect with those young girls and ladies who are hurting and seeking a safe place to heal on a deep and meaningful level.

Through workshops, speaking engagements, and community-based initiatives, I offer practical tools and strategies to help others reclaim their lives and create a future filled with resilience and empowerment. If you would like to book me to speak at your event, please email

A Healer Healing

As a mental health professional and someone who lives with a mental health disorder, I firmly believe in a holistic approach to healing for those who have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Adverse childhood experiences are traumatic events that occur in early life, specifically between the ages of 0-17. During these formative years, which are crucial for overall healthy well-being, ACEs can significantly disrupt normal development. These years are so integral to the development process that it requires intensive care to treat the wounds inflicted by such experiences.

Some wounds are more than just flesh wounds or lacerations. Some are deep, and healing these wounds takes time and intentionality. To achieve overall healing, it’s essential to grant yourself care that encompasses mind, body, and spirit.

Threefold Belief Therapies, is a intensive holistic methodology towards healing trauma.  This approach encompasses the mind, body, and soul, recognizing the interconnectedness of these elements in the journey to true and ever lasting healing. With a deep understanding that mental health, physical health, and spiritual health are intricately intertwined, I create digital products that help guide girls and women on a transformative path that addresses each aspect of their well-being.
